“Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” delayed

Sometimes Robert Rodriguez frustrates me. “Sin City” is my favorite movie of his. But instead, we get “Machete Kills” this year while “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” is no longer coming out this October. In fact, it’s being delayed until August 22, 2014, nearly a full year later. Ugh.

Anyways, the sequel stars Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, Eva Green,Stacy Keach, Jamie Chung, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Ray Liotta, Jeremy Piven and Juno Temple.

Christoph Waltz still in “The Muppets…Again!”

This is getting confusing. “The Muppets…Again!” won’t have Amy Adams or Jason Segal involved. It does star Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell, Tina Fey and Ray Liotta (?) are in. Christoph Waltz was in, but then was replaced. Turns our Gervais revealed that Waltz will still appear in the film. That’s good news, even if it’s just a cameo, but the casting news is getting as confusing as “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For”.

I was wrong…”Sin City” A Dame to Kill For” adds another cast member

Robert Rodriguez’s “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” is currently filming. And yet it’s STILL adding cast members, despite being planned for an October release. Stacy Keach is the latest to join as the chief villain for the sequel. He joins Mickey Rourke, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Dennis Haysbert, Jamie Chung, Chris Meloni, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Jeremy Piven, Julia Garner, Bruce Willis and Eva Green in the film based on Frank Miller’s graphic novels.

One more casting announcement from “Sin City 2”, this time it’s a big one

So out of the seemingly endless cast of “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For”, this one is important. Robert Rodriguez had yet to cast Ava Lord, who is basically the leading female role in the film. That wait is over. Reports are that Eva Green (“Dark Shadows”, “Casino Royale”) will play the role. She joins, (deep breath): Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Jeremy Piven, Jessica Alba, Jaime King, Jamie Chung and Bruce Willis.

It does make one wonder, if Ava is such a central character, just what the heck have they been filming since October?

The list keeps growing. Despite Robert Rodriguez’s “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” filming NOW, the production has added another actress. Julia Garner (“The Perks of Being a Wallflower”) has joined the cast and will appear opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s character. the film also stars Mickey Rourke as “Marv,” Jessica Alba as “Nancy,” Rosario Dawson as “Gail” and Jaime King as “Goldie/Wendy” with new cast members Joseph Gordon-Levitt as “Johnny,” Dennis Haysbert as “Manute,” Jamie Chung as “Miho,” Christopher Meloni, Juno Temple, Jeremy Piven, Ray Liotta, and Josh Brolin starring as “Dwight.”

“The Muppets 2” gets an unlikely actor

“The Muppets” starring Jason Segal and Amy Adams was one of my favorite films of 2011. But for “The Muppets 2” we’re getting a new cast of humans to join Kermit, Miss Piggy and company. Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey and Ty Burrell have already signed on. And now an actor who appeared in “Muppets in Space” is coming back. Ray Liotta. Yep. So this past week Liotta has joined a children’s movie and “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For”. Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum!

The names keep piling on. Bruce Willis was confirmed to be returning to “Sin City: A Dame To Kill For”. Three more big name actors join “Sin City: A Dame To Kill For”

Now that it’s been pretty much eight years since “Sin City” came out, I’ll say this about Robert Rodriguez’s sequel. Its’ getting a great cast. Ray Liotta, Juno Temple and Jeremy Piven are the latest actors to join the film, though their roles are being kept under wraps for right now. They join: Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Jamie Chung, Christopher Meloni and Josh Brolin.

Trailer for “The Iceman”

Check out the trailer for “The Ice Man” starring Michael Shannon (“Man of Steel”), Ray Liotta, Chris Evans, David Schwimmer, James Franco and Winona Ryder.

The film tells the story of Richard “The Ice Man” Kuklinski who is believed to have killed 100 people before he was 18-years-old. Looks pretty interesting to me. Hopefully this gets a wider release at some point.
