“Star Wars” actors are re-teaming on screen! But no, I’m not talking about “Star Wars Episode VII” from J.J. Abrams. Ewan McGregor is joining “Jane Got a Gun” with Natalie Portman. He’s playing the role of the villain after Bradley Cooper was force to leave because of scheduling conflicts. Cooper had joined the cast because Jude Law dropped out of the project after Lynne Ramsay (former director) was a no-show. Law had joined because Joel Edgerton moved from playing the villain to the hero after Michael Fassbender left the project. Whew.

What a production so far. Lynne Ramsay left was a no show on the first day of filming. The production also lost Jude Law as the western’s villain ,which stars Natalie Portman and Joel Edgerton. Now production is getting back on track. Gavin O’Connor (“Warrior”) is in as director and Bradley Cooper has replaced Law. Hopefully this film turns out decent because I’m much more interested in this project because of the trouble than I ever was before.

This is quickly turning into one troubled production. Former director Lynne Ramsay failed to show up on the first day of production of “Jane Got a Gun”. The film found “Warrior” director Gavin O’Connor to step in to helm the film. Now Jude Law said he is exiting the project due to recent events. Natalie Portman, Joel Edgerton and Rodrigo Santoro are starring in the film. It’ll be tough to find a replacement actor up to the quality of Law when he’s on his A-game.

After the interesting news that “Jane Got a Gun” was without a director because Lynne Ramsay failed to show up to the first day of production, the film is back on track. “Warrior” director Gavin O’Connor is taking over the project. The film stars Natalie Portman, Joel Edgerton and Jude Law. It seems pretty hard to see how this turns out well, even if O’Connor is a talented director, but we’ll see.

I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but this seems awfully unprofessional. Director Lynne Ramsay was a no-show to the first day of shooting of “Jane Got a Gun”, leaving cast and 150 crew members scrambling. Natalie Portman (who is also starring) and Scott Steindorf are looking to find a replacement and reports are that a replacement is imminent. The film also stars Joel Edgerton, Rodrigo Santoro and Jude Law. Obviously we don’t know Ramsay’s side of the story yet, but apparently the relationship between the two sides soured in a hurry.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Natalie Portman was set to produce and star in the western flick “Jane’s Got a Gun”. Directed by Lynne Ramsay, the film would tell the story of a young woman a young woman whose outlaw husband stumbles home pumped full of bullets, so she must reach out to a former lover to help protect her homestead from the criminals who are on the way to finish off the husband.

Now, reports are that Michael Fassbender (“Prometheus”, “X-Men: First Class”) is set to play Portman’s husband in the film. It’s still way to early to tell if this film will be any good, but casting two of the best young actors out there right now is a good start.
