“Star Wars” actors are re-teaming on screen! But no, I’m not talking about “Star Wars Episode VII” from J.J. Abrams. Ewan McGregor is joining “Jane Got a Gun” with Natalie Portman. He’s playing the role of the villain after Bradley Cooper was force to leave because of scheduling conflicts. Cooper had joined the cast because Jude Law dropped out of the project after Lynne Ramsay (former director) was a no-show. Law had joined because Joel Edgerton moved from playing the villain to the hero after Michael Fassbender left the project. Whew.

“Macbeth” reunites stars

At one point, Michael Fassbender and Natalie Portman were going to co-star in “Jane Got a Gun” before the film lost its director, lost Fassbender and gained Jude Law. Now Portman has joined the cast of “Macbeth” and will play Lady Macbeth. Here’s to hoping the two stay on the project this time!

What a production so far. Lynne Ramsay left was a no show on the first day of filming. The production also lost Jude Law as the western’s villain ,which stars Natalie Portman and Joel Edgerton. Now production is getting back on track. Gavin O’Connor (“Warrior”) is in as director and Bradley Cooper has replaced Law. Hopefully this film turns out decent because I’m much more interested in this project because of the trouble than I ever was before.

This is worse than “Jane Got a Gun”. Paul Higgis and Russell Crowe were once set to direct and star in “The Equalizer”, which is based on an 80s TV series that sees a special ops agent help people. Then Denzel Washington boarded the project. Nicolas Winding Refn (“Drive”) came on board to direct…and left. Then “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” director Rupert Wyatt joined…and left. Now Antoine Fuqua (“Olympus Has Fallen”) is the latest to be attached to it. If he does join, he’ll reteam with Washington for the first time since “Training Day”, which got Washington an Oscar.

This is quickly turning into one troubled production. Former director Lynne Ramsay failed to show up on the first day of production of “Jane Got a Gun”. The film found “Warrior” director Gavin O’Connor to step in to helm the film. Now Jude Law said he is exiting the project due to recent events. Natalie Portman, Joel Edgerton and Rodrigo Santoro are starring in the film. It’ll be tough to find a replacement actor up to the quality of Law when he’s on his A-game.

After the interesting news that “Jane Got a Gun” was without a director because Lynne Ramsay failed to show up to the first day of production, the film is back on track. “Warrior” director Gavin O’Connor is taking over the project. The film stars Natalie Portman, Joel Edgerton and Jude Law. It seems pretty hard to see how this turns out well, even if O’Connor is a talented director, but we’ll see.

I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but this seems awfully unprofessional. Director Lynne Ramsay was a no-show to the first day of shooting of “Jane Got a Gun”, leaving cast and 150 crew members scrambling. Natalie Portman (who is also starring) and Scott Steindorf are looking to find a replacement and reports are that a replacement is imminent. The film also stars Joel Edgerton, Rodrigo Santoro and Jude Law. Obviously we don’t know Ramsay’s side of the story yet, but apparently the relationship between the two sides soured in a hurry.

Fassbender out, Law in on film

Michael Fassbender has left the upcoming film “Jane Got A Gun” because of conflicts with the schedules of that and “X-Men: Days of Future Past”. Joel Edgerton, who was to play the villain in the film, will take over Fassbender’s role as the hero and Jude Law will now play the villain. The film also stars Natalie Portman.

Director Lynne Ramsey’s “Jane Got a Gun” is already starring Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender. Now reports are up-and-coming actor Joel Edgerton (“Zero Dark Thirty”) may join the film as well.

Lynne Ramsay has a pretty high profile project right now with “Jane Got a Gun” starring Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender. So what’s coming for the writer/director next? Working on “Moby Dick” in space. She is working on the script for “Mobius”, which follows a captain leading his crew on a mission to extract revenge on a whale…ahem…alien who has done him wrong in the past.

She described the film as a psychological action thriller, somewhat in the vein of “Das Boot”. We’ll see.
