The Buffalo Bills signed former Houston Texans defensive lineman/linebacker Mario Williams to a six-year deal with $50 million guaranteed and its potentially worth $100 million. Williams, the top overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, had 53 sacks while with Houston, but also missed most of last season with a torn chest muscle. He also missed three games in 2010 with an injury. Williams joins former Green Bay Packers linebacker Nick Barnett and defensive linemen Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus in a front seven that is a force to be reckoned with now.

While Williams has the potential to really help the Bills defense, I’m still not in love with Ryan Fitzpatrick and his lack of any real options to throw to besides Stevie Johnson.

Former Nevada running back Vai Taua signed with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Taua was previously with the Buffalo Bills before he was cut less than a week after signing with the team.

Former offensive lineman Jose Acuna was cut by the Dallas Cowboys. Acuna was competing for a spot on the roster or practice squad, but left the team’s training camp because of family issues.

Former Nevada running back Vai Taua and defensive lineman Ryan Coulson joined NFL teams on Tuesday. Taua signed with the Buffalo Bills while Coulson signed with the New England Patriots. Taua rushed for more than 4,000 yards during his career with the Wolf Pack and was a major key in one of the most prolific rushing attacks in the nation. Coulson served as one of the team captains last season.

The pair of players joins former offensive lineman Jose Acuna, who signed with the Dallas Cowboys, as undrafted Nevada players who have signed with NFL teams.
