Here is the latest trailer for “Justice League”.

The film brings together Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), the Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

“Justice League” scraps script?

Reports are that Warner Brothers will watch how Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” does before pushing forward with a “Justice League” film. But it turns out they may have bigger problems. Badass Digest is reporting that the studio is scrapping the current script, which featured Darkseid as the villain, for a completely new script.

The old script reportedly had Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and the Flash as the core heroes.

The Latino Review is reporting that Warner Brothers’ “Justice League of America” will feature five superheroes. Those five will be: Superman/Clark Kent, Batman/Bruce Wayne (maybe). Green Lantern/Hal Jordan, Wonder Woman and Flash. The Latino Review did say there may be a couple cameos from other heroes, but this will be the focus.

Obviously Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent will set up that character. My guess is we’ll see a cameo of at least one of these other heroes.

Yep the rumors continue to fly. Before, there was news that Darkseid will be the villain. Now, here’s the supposed roster from the “Justice League” film, which is still without a director, from Cosmic Book News:

• Superman is essentially the same character from Man of Steel, and Zack Snyder is consulting regarding the writing of the character.
• Batman: The strategist of the group. Batman doesn’t really want to be involved with these super powered beings he considers too powerful. Easily the most complex written.
• Wonder Woman: She has only been in man’s world a few short months. The Wonder Woman script Michael Goldenberg is developing will be set before the Justice League movie.
• Green Lantern: Will be Ryan Reynold’s character from the Green Lantern movie, but will be freshly written with a more serious tone.
• Flash: The most popular hero in civilian eyes who loves media attention, but when called upon is very serious.
• Martian Manhunter: Alien who has lived on Earth in secret for over a hundred years who has knowledge of Darkseid and his reign.
• Aquaman: Will be the King of Atlantis who has a key role in the film.
• There will also be a heavy military presence in the film which in future rewrites could include characters featured in Man of Steel or even Amanda Waller (Angela Bassett) of which neither are included in the first draft.
• Alfred Pennyworth is in the film in a minor appearance.
• Lois Lane is also in the film in a cameo.
• Darkseid’s Elite will be featured who go up against the Justice League early on in the film.

If this is the roster, looks like we’re getting a mix of old and new actors playing the characters.

The Latino Review isn’t citing any sources so take this for what it’s worth. Despite not having a director yet or frankly any actors besides apparently Henry Cavill playing Superman in both films, “Justice League” may have its villain. According to reports, Darkseid will be the villain in the film. If this is true and he’s done right, he could be quite the villain. Other than that, we only expect that the JL will include Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was rumored to play Batman, though his reps deny that. No word on whether Ryan Reynolds will play Hal in the film.

Superhero showdown in 2015!

2015 is already the year Marvel Studios’ “The Avengers 2” hits theaters. Now, WB and DC announced it will also mark the release of “Justice League” and is reportedly to contain at least Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash. What we don’t know is if Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” is setting up a shared universe, if Henry Cavill will play Superman or if the JL movie will have any connection at all to the other DC movies to hit, including “Green Lantern” starring Ryan Reynolds or of Joseph Gordon-Levitt would play Batman, or perhaps Armie Hammer. There’s also no director yet either, though the Wachowskis did come up as a name as of late.

From way back when rumors swirled that Megan Fox would play Wonder Woman, this project has been green lit and cancelled on numerous occasions. From the failed attempt by producer Joel Silver to David Kelley trying to get it to television, it seemed doomed until rumors started that there would be a Wonder Woman reference in “Man of Steel” from Zack Snyder.

Now, it appears CW is looking to develop a TV show on Wonder Woman under the working title Amazon. Obviously, the company has to be pleased with Arrow and wants more success like Smallville. We’ll see if anything comes of this though. We’ve heard this before.

The “Justice League” film rumors have been swirling. First, Ben Affleck was in…until he denied it. Then, the Wachowskis are supposedly on the short list of directors. Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” may or may not contain a reference to Wonder Woman and may or may not be connected to a Justice League film. Questions are swirling around whether “Green Lantern” should be rebooted or if Ryan Reynolds should keep the role. And, just how the hell are “The Flash” and everyone else going to be introduced?

Most of those questions will remain, but reports are surfacing that WB will debut a rebooted Batman in a Justice League film and his own feature will come after. That would make sense I suppose. And, I’d bet the farm right now that they move forward with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, whose character takes over the Batman mantle at the end of “The Dark Knight Rises”. My main problem is it looks like WB has no freaking idea what it’s doing right now. And that doesn’t bode well for this film.

With Marvel Studios making big waves by possibly getting Daredevil or Galactus and the Silver Surfer back and hiring Joss Whedon back, DC Comic and Warner Brothers have announced they are looking to hire Ben Affleck (“The Town”, “Argo”) to direct a “Justice League” film. According to Variety, the film would include Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash, but did not know if any stand alone films would be included.

Yes, it looks like Warner Brothers is going to copy Marvel’s playbook here. Reports are that Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman film, “Man of Steel” will leave hints to a shared universe. Up first will be Wonder Woman. However, this is where things get somewhat interesting. Wonder Woman might not actually have a cameo, they might just reference her in the film but that WB is hoping if Superman takes off, it can use that to springboard Wonder Woman.

Note to Snyder and the rest of the crew at WB. Referencing is a heck of a lot less effective than references. Sure, the die-hard comic fans will pick up on it. But, how many people really would have been excited for “The Avengers” if they had simply mentioned Nick Fury and SHIELD instead of putting it in your face on screen?
