Riz Ahmed “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” has joined the “Venom” film in an undisclosed role.

The film will take place in the same world as Tom Holland’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming” but will not be connected to the MCU.

Tom Hardy (“Dunkirk”) has already signed on to the film. Ruben Fleischer (“Zombieland”) will direct.

“War for the Planet of the Apes” played much more like “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” than “Rise of the Planet of the Apes.”

The third film in the rebooted series brought in an estimated $56.5 million. That’s good enough for first place, but well below “Dawn,” which opened with $72.5 million.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” took second with $45.2 million.

Rachel Nichols (“P2”, “G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra”) has signed on to appear in the upcoming horror film “The Ten O’Clock People”. The film also stars Justin Long. Tom Holland (“Fright Night”) is directing the adaptation of the Stephen King story. Nichols will play a member of the titular group who take their name from the smoke breaks they used to take at 10:00am every morning. Thanks to a strange chemical imbalance in their bodies due to quitting, Nichols, Long, and the other members of the group are the only ones who can see the truth: that many high ranking officials in the government are monsters (according to firstshowing.net).

This sounds…stupid.
