Here it is! The “Avengers: Age of Ultron” teaser trailer!

The highly anticipated Marvel film sees the return of Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow and a lot more. The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, James Spader and a host of others.

What do you think?

I can’t wait for this film. Scarlett Johansson has joined “Her” from director Spike Jonze (“Where The WIld Things Are”). From firstshowing.net:

Her is about Theodore, a lonely writer purchases a newly developed operating system (not unlike iPhone’s Siri) designed to meet the user’s every needs. To Theodore’s surprise, a romantic relationship develops between him and his operating system. This unconventional love story blends science fiction and romance in a sweet tale that explores the nature of love and the ways that technology isolates and connects us all.

The film also stars Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams and Rooney Mara. Johansson will voice the operating system.

“Rodham”, the biopic about Hilary Clinton from director James Ponsoldt (“Smashed”) appears to have its titular character. Last week, it was reported that Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Chastain, Reese Witherspoon and Amanda Seyfried  were up for the lead role. But now comes news that Carey Mulligan is in the lead to nab the role. Mulligan was last seen in “The Great Gatsby” and has films like “Drive” and “Shame” to her credit, so she’s a solid actress. What do you think about the casting choice?

A couple of years ago we had “W.” from Oliver Stone. Now we have another film about a current politician coming up, this time about Hillary Clinton with “Rodham”. Reports are that Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Chastain, Reese Witherspoon and Amanda Seyfreid are up for the role. All four have had roles playing real life people, probably the most notable ones being Chastain in “Zero Dark Thirty” and Witherspoon in “Walk the Line”. I’m not sure who I’d prefer to see star. What about you?

Scarlett Johansson is caught up in the Marvel universe after last summer’s “The Avengers”. But soon she’s going behind the camera for the first time, directing an adaptation of “Summer Crossing”, the first novel by Truman Capote. Are you excited to see Johnasson work behind the camera?

Robert Redford joining Marvel?

Yep. Reports are that Robert Redford is in talks to join “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”. This seems a bit out of left field, but I hope he plays an interesting role. The anticipated sequel hits theaters next year, so we’ll have to wait a while. The film stars Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Scarlett Johansson, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, Hayley Atwell and Maximiliano Hernánde so this is getting a little crowded. Joe and Anthony Russo are directing.

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” quietly could be one of my favorite superhero films. Which would be saying something since “Captain America” was probably my least favorite Marvel film to date. But with a cast that includes Chris Evans, Emil VanCamp, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Scarlett Johansson and Toby Jones, this one could be great if it’s handled correctly. Producer Kevin Feige recently talked about the comic book film genre and described this film as a political thriller. This worries me a tad bit. I’m not wanting to see the next “Manchurian Candidate” here. Frankly, Marvel’s films work as well as they do because they don’t take themselves too seriously.

Good news bad news here for me at least. Peggy Carter will cameo in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”. Played by Hayley Atwell in the first film, she was the love interest to Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). Emily VanCamp is playing the lead in this film, but it’s still nice to see. The bad news is that Peggy’s role is apparently just a flashback scene. I still think it would be incredibly emotional and sad to see a much older Peggy reuniting with Steve. Perhaps for that one dance before she passed away?

The film also stars Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Scarlett Johansson and Toby Jones.

New trailer for “Hitchcock”

Here’s the newest trailer for “Hitchcock” starring Anthony Hopkins and Hellen Mirren.

The biopic shows the struggles of bringing “Psycho”, arguably Alfred Hitchcock’s most famous film, to life. Scarlett Johansson, James D’Arcy, Anthony Perkins, Jessica Biel, Toni Collette, Danny Huston and Michael Stuhlbarg also star.

Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) are in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. Crossbones and the Falcon are in as well, joining Chris Evans as Steve Rogers. the role of Sharon Carter has yet to be made. Imogen Poots, Alison Brie, Teresa Palmer and Jessica Findlay-Brown were the most recent names thrown out there.
