Ang Lee took home Best Director at the Oscars, but it was Ben Affleck who would have won for “Argo” if he hadn’t been snubbed. Now Affleck looks like he is gearing up for another run at the award. Affleck’s and Matt Damon’s production company is adapting the upcoming book “Bunker Hill: A City, A Siege, A Revolution”. Chris Terrio, who wrote “Argo” will write this film. The last big film about the Revolutionary War was “The Patriot” with Mel Gibson way back in 2000.

As I’m STILL waiting for “Sin City: A Dame to Kill for”, Robert Rodriguez’s “Machete Kills” will hit theaters on Sept. 13. Danny Trejo returns where he must stop a revolutionary and an eccentric arms dealer.

The film also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Charlie Sheen, Lady Gaga, Antonio Banderas, Jessica Alba, Demian Bichir, Alexa Vega, Vanessa Hudgens, Cuba Gooding, Jr., William Sadler, Marko Zaror and Mel Gibson.

Director Robert Rodriguez is already busy with “Machete Kills” starring  Danny Trejo, Mel Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Demian Bichir, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Zoe Saldana, Charlie Sheen, Alexa Vega, Lady Gaga and Vanessa Hudgens. But, he’s also got another sequel in the works: “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For”. In a recent interview, Rodriguez said the new film will be closer to the source material, but also have some new surprises. He also said to expect some casting news soon. Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke and Rosario Dawson have been confirmed to return.

A big question will be how they address Michael Clark Duncan’s character. Duncan’s character plays a big role in the story so we’ll have to watch closely to see how they handle this.

In the same interview, Rodriguez also seemed less enthusiastic about a “Predators” sequel. That’s probably a good thing.

Yes, Lady Gaga is in the sequel to “Machete”, “Machete Kills”. Here’s a teaser poster.

Director Robert Rodriguez tweeted this: “I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills, she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!”

Ex-federale Machete (Danny Trejo) is recruited by the U.S. government to stop an arms dealer (Mel Gibson) from launching a deadly missile in the sequel.

Michelle Rodrigeuz, Demian Bichir, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Zoe Saldana and Charlie Sheen also star.

Yes, Charlie Sheen is looking to continue his comeback. He’s already starring in a new TV show “Anger Management” and has now been cast as the President in the upcoming “Machete Kills”.

The film also stars Mel Gibson as an arms dealer looking to launch a weapon into space. Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Amber Heard, Sofía Vergara and Demián Bichir also star.

I’d still rather see Robert Rodriguez work on the “Sin City” sequel, but oh well. If you’re going to do a B movie, the cast can’t get much better than this I suppose.

“Machete Kills” starring Danny Trejo has picked up another actress. This time it’s Zoe Saldana (“Star Trek”, “Avatar”). The film also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Sofia Vergara and Jessica Alba. It’s also reported that roles for Mel Gibson and Amber Heard are in.

All I have to say to Robert Rodriguez is hurry up and get to “Sin City: A Dame To Kill For”.

A couple of years ago and it looked like “Mad Max 4: Fury Road” would never see the light of day. But, Charlize Theron, who will appear in the upcoming films “Prometheus” and “Snow White and the Huntsman” said the film will begin shooting on June 2nd!

George Miller (“Happy Feet”) returns to helm the film. But, Mel Gibson is out and Tom Hardy (“The Dark Knight Rises”) is in. The cast also reportedly includes Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Adelaide Clemens and Richard Norton.
