Terminator 6 filming soon?

The Terminator franchise has struggled as of late. From “Terminator Salvation” with Christian Bale and Sam Worthington to “Terminator Genisys” with Arnold and Jai Courtney, the film series has seemed to hit a rough patch as of late.

That won’t stop another film from being filmed.

Arnold Schwarzenegger said in an interview with The Playlist that the movie will begin filming next March with a “Conan” film to follow.

James Cameron is back on board the series, so hopefully this one will turn out better!

Presidents Day weekend is here. John Mclane is back. How big will “A Good Day to Die Hard” open?

I got to be honest. I was skeptical of this film. And, if you come back and read my review later this weekend, you’ll find out if I had good reason. Anyways it’s been half a decade since “Live Free or Die Hard” came out. That one earned more than $130 million so it seemed like a no brainer that Bruce Willis would come back. This time he’s paired with his son Jack (Jai Courtney). But things have changed.

We’ve had three bona fide flops in “The Last Stand”, “Parker” and “Bullet to the Head”. This one should avoid the same fate because of its brand, but this won’t open nearly as big or finish with nearly the amount of money the last Die Hard made. It’ll finish on top easily, but don’t expect this one to be a huge hit. It’ll be more in line with “DareDevil”.

Holiday weekend: $40-45 million

Next up is “Save Haven” starring  Josh Duhamel, Julianne Hough, David Lyons and Cobie Smulders. All I have to say is it’s based on a Nicholas Sparks novel. Won’t be as big as say “The Vow”, but it’ll have a solid opening, especially cause of Valentines Day coming so close.

Holiday weekend: $20-25 million

Finally is “Beautiful Creatures” starring Alden Ehrenreich, Alice Englert, Jeremy Irons, Viola Davis, Emmy Rossum, Thomas Mann and Emma Thompson. It’s hoping to become the next “Twilight” but doesn’t have the same appeal or buzz.

Holiday weekend: $10-15 million

“Live Free or Die Hard” earned more money than any other film in the franchise, so it’s no surprise that Bruce Willis as back as John McClane in “A Good Day to Die Hard”. Now, with Jai Courtney starring as his son, he’s back for another installment of what sounds like one long chase film. Anyways, the big question is having another round of McClane, is that good or bad?

What made Die Hard so classic? The humor, the action, the certain tone and charm to it and the villains. This appears to have none of it. And just take a look at this poster. Mother Russia? Really? Also, the fact that its coming out in February, notoriously the time period where studios dump their movies that they think will fail, doesn’t bode well to the quality of the film. This looks like there’s no memorable villain, introducing a son, (which worked so well for “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” right?) and, frankly, a film that just looks like any old action film means I think the series is diluted. These aren’t the memorable classics that made the series so endearing. This looks like an aging actor trying to desperately hang on to the roles that made him a star.

Here is the teaser trailer for “A Good Day to Die Hard” which hits theaters in February.

Not a whole lot here besides seeing Bruce Willis. The film also stars Jai Courtney and Cole Hauser. This film is set in Russia.

Bruce Willis will be back as John McClane in “A Good Day to Die Hard”, which continues to the “Die Hard” series. Jai Courtney is playing John’s son, Jak. Now, a cameo has been revealed. Mary Elizabeth Winstead will reprise her role as John’s daughter. Winstead first appeared in “Live Free or Die Hard”.

I know, not the major cameo we were all hoping for. I mean, bring back some of the characters from the early films if you really want to get us excited! The sequel also stars Sebastian Koch, Yulia Snigir, Cole Hauser, Amaury Nolasco, Megalyn Echikunwoke and Anne Vyalitsyn

Cole Hauser will join Bruce Willis and Jai Courtney in “A Good Day to Die Hard”. Hauser will play a villain and the film will take place in Moscow.

Look, I loved “Live Free or Die Hard” as much as anyone. But, Hauser has not been in a single movie that  I thought was good. In movies that he played a significant role? “2 Fast 2 Furious”. Not exactly great stuff. But, he was also in “The Cave”. Haven’t heard of it? Probably a good thing. It’s worse than a TV horror film.

Yes, John McClane (Bruce Willis) is coming back to theaters in the upcoming “A Good Day to Die Hard”. And, for this adventure, his son’s coming with him.

Jai Courtney, who will appear in “One Shot” with Tom Cruise and “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” will play his son, Jack McClane. Are you guys ready for more Die Hard?

I actually rather enjoyed “Live Free or Die Hard” so why not?
