This is beginning to be like “Sin City: A Dame To Kill For”. But Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past” cast Josh Helman for a role that will require him to be on set for a couple of weeks. His role is a mystery, however. The film stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Daniel Cudmore, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart, Fan Bingbing, Adan Canto and Evan Peters.

Bryan Singer has confirmed that Evan Peters will be playing Quicksilver in “X-Men: Days of Future Past”. If you’re confused, that’s likely because Joss Whedon said Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch would be in “The Avengers 2”. Marvel’s Kevin Feige explains how this can happen:

“There’s a specific arrangement with those two characters that would allow us to use them with ‘Avengers,’ but not discuss or reference their mutant or Magneto-related lineage. They can use them as mutants and as Magneto’s relatives, but cannot have anything to do with ‘The Avengers,” Feige told Super Hero Hype. Peters joins  Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing and Boo Boo Stewart.

My goodness. This is starting to sound like “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For”. Alan Cumming will be back as Nightcrawler in “X-Men: Days of Future Past”. If you’re keeping track, only James Marsden (Cyclops) and Famke Janssen (Jean Grey) are not coming back at this point, though that may change. Directed by Bryan Singer, the film stars Jennifer Lawerence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult and James McAvoy from “X-Men: First Class” and Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore and Hugh Jackman from the original X-Men films.

Halle Berry joins “X-Men”!

Yep Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past” adds one more. Halle Berry is returning as Storm. She joins old cast members Hugh Jackman, Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore as well as new cast members James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult.

Comingsoon.net has an interview, which you can read here.

Looks like Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past” is getting one more actress. Halle Berry told the site Shadow and Act that she is Practically 90% sure. And she nodded a lot too. I can’t say, and neither could she say that it’s definitely a done deal, and that the contracts have all been signed, with all the “i”s dotted and the “t”s crossed.

They added that there “a few details that are still being negotiated which she couldn’t get into. But since she did tell me that the film starts shooting in April, it’s highly unlikely that talks are going to suddenly and horribly fall apart at this point, and the producers have to scramble to find a replacement at the very last minute.”

Not a surprise I guess. Everyone else is back. The film stars filming this spring and stars Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore and Peter Dinklage.

Since it was announced “X-Men: Days of Future Past” would be having past and current actors portraying characters, it’s been fun to see who is coming back and who isn’t. Unfortunately, according to  James McAvoy we won’t get to see he, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen together. He told Empire he doesn’t think we get any scenes together, sadly. I don’t think there’s any future self talking to past self.”

Oh well. the film also stars Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, and Peter Dinklage. Bryan Singer is taking over as director from Matthew Vaughn.

With so much of the news surrounding who is coming back, this is actually the first new actor we’re getting news of. Peter Dinklage, who can be seen in “Game of Thrones”, joined the cast of “X-Men: Days of Future Past” from director Bryan Singer. We don’t know who he will be playing exactly, but he will be the main villain reports say. Now given the time travel aspect, we don’t know how he will fit in, but it’s a solid choice none the less. He joins Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore.

Bryan Singer is promoting “Jack the Giant Slayer”. He also is helming “X-Men: Days of Future Past” with a cast from First Class and his original films, including Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence and Ellen Page. But what about Storm, played by Halle Berry? Here’s what Singer told MTV:

“I can’t say. I don’t know yet. And it’s not necessarily a deal making aspect at all,” he said. “I want to make sure it’ll make sense. But I love working with her.”

Interesting. I’ve never read the comics, but it seems to me that she’s not an essential characters so if they don’t have her already planned, I’d just leave her out.

Ellen Page is one of the best actresses out there today. From her work in “Juno” to “Inception” she’s had a varied and great career so far. During her time, she’s worked with directors like Woody Allen, Jason Reitman and Christopher Nolan. Now she’ll get a chance to show what she’s learned as she’s making her directorial debut with “Miss Stevens”. The film will star Anna Faris in the title role. Both Faris and Page can do both comedy and drama but there’s no word on what tone this film will have. But I’m interested.
