Zach Sobiech is a 18-year-old who has just months to live after finding that osteosarcoma–a rare form of bone cancer  that he has battled since he was 14, spread and doctors said there is nothing more they can do. He sang a song called “Clouds”, which if you haven’t heard it, stop everything and watch it. It’s incredibly touching and I doubt you’ll have dry eyes after finishing it. You can also download the song here with proceeds going to the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund. You can also make a donation at that page.

Here is the video of some stars who, spearheaded by Rainn Wilson, is a touching video in of itself. The stars that appear are: Brian Cranston, Sarah Silverman, Ashley Tisdale, Colbie Caillat, Chris Pratt, Anna Faris, Jason Mraz, Sara Bareilles, Andy Grammer, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Jenna Elfman, Jack McBrayer, Lumineers, Jason Derulo, The Mowgli’s, Rachel Bilson, Kina Grannis, Passenger, Creed Bratton, Tyler Hilton, Mark Duplass, Josh Gad, Jason Wade, Paul McDonald, Ed Helms, Phillip Phillips, Justin Young, and Alyssa Shouse

Airing on May 16, TV’s “The Office” will be ending its run. Based on the UK TV show starring Ricky Gervais, the US version helped launch Steve Carell’s career as he played Michael Scott. Here’s the list of guest stars for the series finale: Mindy Kaling, B.J. Novak, Rachael Harris, Dakota Johnson, Joan Cusack, Ed Begley Jr., Malcolm Barrett, Matt Jones, Andy Buckley, Mike Schur and Bobby Ray Shafer. Carell’s name isn’t on the list. We’d say that NBC is trying to keep this a surprise, but you’d think they would tease a special guest appearance or something, right? But it seems hard to imagine that Carell wouldn’t be involved.

“The Office” stars Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Ed Helms, Catherine Tate, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Angela Kinsey, Oscar Nuñez, Phyllis Smith, Paul Lieberstein, Creed Bratton, Craig Robinson, Ellie Kemper, Clark Duke and Jake Lacy.

Here’s the latest trailer for “The Hangover Part III”.

Ed Helms is playing Rusty Griswold in the upcoming “Vacation”, a sequel/reboot of the popular series. Here’s some  great news, Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo are in talks to reprise their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold. Christina Applegate is also said to be joining the  cast. The timing makes sense, Chase is done with “Community” now. But I’m still worried this is a bad idea, however, at least getting Chase and D’Angelo back is a good sign.  Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley are writing and directing.

Still not sold on “Vacation”, which will center on Rusty Griswold, played by Ed Helms (“The Hangover”). Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo are being sought after to return to their roles as the clueless parents and here’s some news that might give me a little hope. Christina Applegate has signed on to play Rusty’s wife, who may be losing interest in him.

Applegate of course is in “Anchorman: The Legend Continues” along with Will Ferrell,  Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Harrison Ford and more. Hopefully this can get a great comedic cast.

I know, the summer movie season is still a ways a way. But we’re getting closer. And Memorial Day weekend has one of the summer’s biggest showdowns. “The Hangover Part III”, “Fast and Furious 6” and “Epic” all hit theaters looking to make a killing at the box office. Which one will come away the big winner?

Todd Phillips’ “The Hangover Part III” has some work to do. The second film set a Memorial Day weekend record with $103 million over the four days, but then dropped more than 60 percent thanks to terrible word of mouth. There’s finally a (somewhat) new premise and everyone is coming back from Heather Graham to Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis. And the reportedly final film in the series, posters poking fun of some of the other hit franchises, and this one should bring in a decent amount of business its opening weekend. But it’ll be a far cry from the second film’s opening. That’s because “Fast and Furious 6” is gunning for the same young male audience. It’s rare for a franchise to be hitting the sixth film but have a unique possibility of being the highest grossing film in the franchise. But that’s where the sixth film is. “Fast Five” earned $86 million its opening weekend on its way to more than $200 million domestically. It was also a significant hit overseas. And, unlike “The Hangover Part II”, the film had critical acclaim and was a very big crowd pleaser. Now Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson and the rest of the crew are back along with the return of Michelle Rodriguez. With a more accessible PG-13 rating, look for this to be able to make a run at “The Hangover Part II’s” Memorial Day weekend mark.

The wild card is of course “Epic”. I’m intrigued by this film. The question will be is this a new animated classic, or a cut below Pixar quality. But it’ll draw in the family crowd, being the first big family film of the summer. Families are just as likely to be going camping or other outdoor activities, however, so this one might have great legs, but have a lower opening weekend. Still, if reviews are good for this one, this could be the film to beat over the holiday weekend.

Predictions for four-day weekend totals:

Fast and Furious 6: $100-110 million

The Hangover Part III: $75-85 million

Epic: $65-75 million

For a lot of people, myself included the Vacation movies are among the best comedies ever. From “Vegas Vacation” to “Christmas Vacation”, Clark Griswold (played by Chevy Chase) and his family’s adventures made for some of the best experiences ever. Now comes the worrisome news that Jonathan Goldstein and John Daly are writing a new “Vacation” film with Ed Helms (“The Hangover”) as a grown up Rusty Griswold. In an interview with First Showing, here’s a little of what they had to say.

You can read part of a pretty interesting interview with the writers here. They were talking to promote “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone”.

Not sure I’m confident they can make this work. Hopefully Chase will be involved in some capacity.

One thing missing from “The Hangover” movies has been a strong female presence. Now, director Todd Phillips is looking to change that. Melissa McCarthy (“Bridesmaids”) has joined the cast for a smaller role. We know she can do this kind of humor in “Bridesmaids” so I’m actually looking forward to seeing her in the film. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis return for the reportedly final installment in the series.
