Terminator 6 filming soon?

The Terminator franchise has struggled as of late. From “Terminator Salvation” with Christian Bale and Sam Worthington to “Terminator Genisys” with Arnold and Jai Courtney, the film series has seemed to hit a rough patch as of late.

That won’t stop another film from being filmed.

Arnold Schwarzenegger said in an interview with The Playlist that the movie will begin filming next March with a “Conan” film to follow.

James Cameron is back on board the series, so hopefully this one will turn out better!

We already saw WB do this for the “Harry Potter” series. Now get ready for the ultimate collector’s edition of the “Dark Knight” trilogy. It’s six discs with the three movies and its existing content plus:

  • Christopher Nolan & Richard Donner: A Conversation: For the first time, Directors Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Trilogy) and Richard Donner (Superman) sit down to discuss the trials and triumphs involved in bringing the two most iconic superheroes of all time to the big screen, and how Superman influenced Nolan when developing Batman Begins.

The series stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Heath Ledger and many more.

Bale shoots down rumors

Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” started up talk about a “Justice League” film. If it does happen, Christian Bale, who played Bruce Wayne/Batman in Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight” trilogy said he won’t be back.

”I have no information, no knowledge about anything,” he told EW.  “I’ve literally not had a conversation with a living soul. I understand that they may be making a Justice League movie, that’s it. It’s a torch that should be handed from one actor to another. So I enjoy looking forward to what somebody else will come up with.”

They could go with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, however.

Paramount Pictures has reportedly acquired the rights to distribute “Terminator 5” (T5) and that production may begin next year. The script had numerous rewrites, the latest coming from Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is attached to star. At one point Justin Lin was attached to direct, but he dropped out to helm “Fast and Furious 6”. Maybe he can come back? It would make sense as to why he didn’t want to do FF 7. “Terminator Salvation” the last Terminator film to be released, starred Christian Bale and Sam Worthington.

With Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” about to be released, Superman/Clark Kent himself, Henry Cavill talked about the possibility of a Batman/Superman movie. Here’s what he told SFX.

“I think it would be really interesting with the age-old Batman/Superman conflict because they are two different sides of the same coin and their methods are entirely different. And I think it would actually make for an interesting story as to why, first of all, they were going head to head and how. I think that would make a great story,” Cavill said.

When asked if this is actually a possibility, Cavill replied:

“Who knows, I’m sure there’s all sorts of ideas being thrown around at Warner Bros right now.”

Of course Christian Bale was the most recent Batman, but he said he’s done.

“Iron Man 3”, staring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley and more, raked in the second highest opening weekend ever. But with RDJ’s contract coming up for negotiations, Marvel Studios couldn’t possibly part with its most popular actor right? Here’s what producer Kevin Feige told Entertainment Weekly:

“I believe there will be a fourth ‘Iron Man’ and a fifth, sixth and a 10th and a 20th. I see no reason why Tony Stark can’t be as evergreen as James Bond, Batman, or for that matter, Spider-Man.”

Of course Bond has had numerous actors play the character, most recently being Daniel Craig. We now have two Spideys in Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield and a variety of Batmans from George Clooney to Christian Bale. Would you be OK with a new Tony Stark? Who do you want to see? And do you really want to see 20 Iron Man films?

Yep. WB President Jeff Robinov closed the door on rumors that Christopher Nolan (“Batman Begins”, “The Dark Knight”, “The Dark Knight Rises”) and Christian Bale may be involved with a “Justice League of America” film. “Man of Steel” producer Chris Roven, however, said “Man of Steel” from director Zack Snyder is setting a universe up a la Marvel Studios:

“It’s setting the tone for what the movies are going to be like going forward, In that, Man of Steel is definitely a first step. Nolan’s Dark Knight series was deliberately and smartly positioned as a stand-alone. The world the films lived in was very isolated, without any knowledge of other superheroes. What Zack and Chris have done with this film is allow you to really introduce other characters into the same world.”

At this point it’s clear: Warner Brothers has no idea what the heck they’re doing. Last month there were reports that maybe, just maybe, Christopher Nolan would return for the “Justice League of America” film and Christian Bale would be back as Batman. But now reports are that Nolan is not returning because he doesn’t want to mess with the universe that his Batman films (“Batman Begins”, “The Dark Knight”, “The Dark Knight Rises”) created. And reports are out there that Nolan is even hesitant that “Man of Steel” Superman Henry Cavill should appear either. Also, Bale is backing out. And WB is doing a page one rewrite. Yeah. We’re never seeing this film are we?

We know very little about Christopher Nolan’s (“The Dark Knight Rises”, “Inception”) next film “Interstellar”. But now we know who will be the leading actor. Matthew McConaughey is set to join the film. He joins the ranks of Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Leonardo DiCaprio and Guy Pearce as actors who have worked with Nolan. That’s quite a list if you think about it.

Since ending his Batman trilogy with “The Dark Knight Rises”, Christopher Nolan has been a busy guy. he served as producer on Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel”. There’s those pesky rumors that he will oversee the “Justice League” film. But get ready for his first original film since “Inception” on Nov. 7, 2014. Nolan’s next film will be “Interstellar”. Not much is known about the project, but don’t be surprised to see recent frequent Nolan actors in the mix. I’d bet on Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine, maybe even Christian Bale showing up for this one.
