“The Last Exorcism” was a surprise hit, earning more than $40 million on a budget of $1.8 million. So, no surprise that “The Last Exorcism Part II” is hitting theaters. From CinemaBlend, the story centers on Nell Sweetzer, the young girl played by Ashley Bell in the original (she will be reprising her role as well). The story will start as Nell is discovered alone in the woods and is taken back to civilization where it’s revealed that she has lost big chunks of recent memories. The last surviving member of her family, she begins to try and rebuild her life, but then the demon that lived within her returns…

It’s being released March 1 against “21 and Over” and “Jack the Giant Killer”. This has box office disaster written all over it to me. The first film was released in late August. Meaning? It had nothing to compete against.
